Why upstream
A steady income, a safe home, a good school, food you can count on, and people to lean on all shape health more than any single visit to a doctor. Public health calls these the social determinants, or drivers, of health (SDOH).
They're where crises begin, from chronic disease to loneliness to the toll of a heat wave. And they're where crises can be stopped, if someone builds for them. That's the work we've chosen.
Our model
Medicine got better for people when it stopped treating the clinic, complementary care, and a patient's own habits as separate worlds. Communities need the same shift. We design for the place where emergency management, climate mitigation, and everyday resilience meet.

We practice public health technology: the core of public health (epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health, and policy) joined with engineering, data science, design, and entrepreneurship. Bilingual in health and tech, and able to speak the language of policy and business, so good ideas reach people at scale.

About Skyler Madelyn, Inc.
Meredith Jaxon is a solution architect and process improvement engineer. She founded Skyler Madelyn, Inc. to bring that systems lens to the conditions that decide whether communities, and the people in them, thrive.
Her work starts from a simple belief: everyone is born with untapped potential, and no one should die with it. She learned that from her late husband, David, a brilliant and kind man she lost to addiction and homelessness. He mattered. And so do you.
That belief runs through everything she builds. In 2023, she worked with fellow entrepreneurs on a plan to protect the Phoenix metro's unhoused residents from extreme heat, the work that shaped the integrated community health model behind this company.
Chemystery grew from the conversations she and David never had. It's the tool she wished existed when they were younger, built on a rule she lives by: be the person you needed when you were a kid.
